Do you know someone who would make a great foster carer? - Host a STAR (Start Thinking About Recruitment) party.
£1,000 payment if your referral is approved
The most powerful way to inspire more people to become foster carers is through the voices of those who are already making a difference – you. That’s why we are encouraging you to host a ‘Start Thinking About Recruitment,’ (STAR) party. A STAR party is an informal and relaxed get-together in your home where friends, family and community members can hear what fostering is really like.
We’ll support you to arrange your STAR party. Let us know at least two weeks before the date and we will:
• Reimburse up to £50 spent on light refreshments for your guests on presentation of receipts.
• Provide leaflets, information booklets and branded merchandise for guests
• Help you plan talking points
• Give you £1,000 as a thank you if a guest that you refer to us goes on to become an approved foster carer.
