If you are thinking of becoming a Foster Carer, we put on regular introductory workshops and attend events so you can find out more about becoming a Foster Carer. 

There will be the chance for you to speak to staff or social workers about what it's really like being a Foster Carer and find out more about the process, what's involved for you and the benefits included.

Foster Care Information Session

Online, Wednesday 2 July 2025, 11am to 12noon

Join our online information event. A fostering social worker and Waltham Forest foster carer will take you through a short presentation about fostering. This includes why children come into care, the application process and the benefits of fostering with Waltham Forest.

This will be followed by a Q&A session. Please register using the button below and a sign up link will be sent to you.

Fostering Coffee Drop In

Come join us for our Fostering Information Coffee Drop In event at Lulin's Cafe inside Wood Street Library! Whether you're curious about fostering, considering becoming a foster parent, or are already fostering and want to know more about fostering with Waltham Forest please come along and have an informal chat with us over a cup of coffee. You'll meet a member of the Waltham Forest fostering service and an experienced foster carer and can ask any questions you wish.

Waltham Forest Pride is hosted by elop - LGBT+ mental health charity.

The event promises to be lots of fun with a live stage show. More details coming very soon.
