If you are thinking of becoming a Foster Carer, we put on regular introductory workshops and attend events so you can find out more about becoming a Foster Carer.

There will be the chance for you to speak to staff or social workers about what it's really like being a Foster Carer and find out more about the process, what's involved for you and the benefits included.

Foster Care Information Session

Online, Wednesday 29 April, 11am to 12noon

Join our online information event. A fostering social worker and Waltham Forest foster carer will take you through a short presentation about fostering. This includes why children come into care, the application process and the benefits of fostering with Waltham Forest.

This will be followed by a Q&A session. Please register using the button below and a joining link will be sent to you.

Foster Care Fortnight Walk

Thursday 14 May, 11am to 1pm, Walthamstow Market and Chingford High Street

Waltham Forest Fostering Service and some of our brilliant foster carers will be out and about on Thursday 14 May, taking part in our Foster Care Fortnight Walk from 11am to 1pm.

The group will start at Waltham Forest Town Hall, walk through Walthamstow Market, and then Chingford High Street to continue the route.

If you spot us in our bright T-shirts, giving out Waltham Forest fostering bags, feel free to come over and say hello. We'll be happy to chat, share information about fostering, and answer any questions you may have.
