CORE Training

Core Training

Core training events are essential to your ongoing professional development.  It is expected that carer's complete Core training at least every three years, or more often if you feel that you require a refresher.

As of 2025 the following courses are considered as CORE:

• Attachment, Loss and Separation
• Contact (Family Time)
• Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Health and Safety
• First Aid 
• Recording and Communication Skills
• Safer Caring
• WRAP (Prevent)

Carers are also required to complete two Mandatory courses, just once.  These are:

• Delegated Authority
• Equality and Diversity

These, as well as the WRAP (Prevent) courses will be updated in due course.
