A further 8,600 foster families are needed in the next 12 months alone, in order to ensure all fostered children can live with the right family for them.

Do you know someone who would make a great foster carer? - Host a STAR (Start Thinking About Recruitment) party.
£250 payment if your referral is approved
Please invite friends and family who are interested in becoming foster carers to a recruitment party to your home to find out more about fostering. We will support your STAR party by:
- Providing a small purse for refreshments
- Providing leaflets and giveaways.
Your guests would need to live in or near Waltham Forest and have a spare bedroom and the availability to care for a child in need.
If someone that you bring along goes on to become an approved foster carer, you will receive £250 as a thank you.
