Foster Care Fortnight 2021

Why We Care

Foster Care Fortnight is a national foster care awareness campaign by The Fostering Network. Thousands of new foster families are needed every year to care for children. In Waltham Forest we need carers for children of all ages but our greatest need is for carers for teenagers, mothers and babies and children with disabilities.

Shqiponja and Rasim have been fostering for two years. "We care because we want to help shape young people's minds and futures. As a foster carer you have to love children and have a good heart. You also have to really involve the children you care for in your family."

For more information please register for our online coffee morning or complete our enquiry form.

Why Foster
Girl on swing

I believe my foster carer cares for me because she does everything properly and it is easy for me. I don’t have to worry, I used to worry a lot.
